in response to many many emails, a global effort has launched to make Baha’i guitar tabs and sheet music available to batash. we have received over a hundred songs, and are awaiting many more. our wonderful helpers include Praveen of Bangalore, Tom of Switzerland, Debbie of Antigua and Barbuda, Russ of New Zealand, Simon of Wales, Denis of Trinidad, and Naeem of Samoa. Thank you to all of you. We expect many more!
Jan Greis from AOEmedia has begun to make batash!
we decided on a final version for the layout and design of Batash. only the top region has changed from the original preliminary design. we submitted all files to our web developer (Jan Greis), who has begun working on the content-management and database structure. true progress!
and another success: we have registered our domain! Batash Online Resource will be available to you and with you at BATASH.ORG. the domain we had originally planned, batash.com, was not available anymore. but that’s alright.

just this morning we received confirmation that Kian Gould, Baha’i and CEO of AOEmedia, will be providing free server capacity for us at his company, helping us through the first few critical months. Batash is amazingly grateful for his kind offer. Thank you Kian!

we have a critical need for web developers who have experience working within the TYPO3 content management system.
also we need your help to collect tabs and sheet music of Bahai-inspired material. we would like to have a certain amount of content before we launch the website, and thus any contributions will be of great benefit to the batash project. Be it songs that you wrote yourself, songs from a songbook that includes tabs (please get permission from the publisher first, or notify us), or any other sources of such material that you know of.

The next months will witness the rise of the BATASH website, an innovative source of sheet music and guitar tabs for Baha’i-inspired music. It will be the first of its kind. This blog is dedicated to tracking its progress up to its final launch, allowing the developers themselves to share the latest victories and the future users to share their thoughts and needs.
Our objective is to develop a website, accessible, practical, resourceful for the world-wide Baha’i community. Our aim is that it will assist the individual in his/her effort in the Institute Process, encouraging the implementation of the arts.
Such a project can only be realized through careful planning, dedicated helpers, and loyal and active users. We are currently finalizing a general concept for the website which covers aspects of the interface, security, copyright regulations, hosting, processes, and financing. Thus far, there have been many friends who have expressed their commitment to assist in the development of this project.
We are confident that within a few months time we shall have BATASH.COM, a complete source for Baha’i guitar tabs and sheet music.
